1. Employee and Employer Contributions

While employee contributions are always 100% vested, employer contributions may be subject to a vesting schedule. This means the non-employee spouse may not be entitled to all employer contributions, especially if the employee spouse hasn’t worked at the company long enough to earn full vesting.
