1. Employee and Employer Contributions
In most 401(k) plans, there are two components: employee contributions (which are always fully vested) and employer contributions (which may be subject to a vesting schedule). When dividing the Academy of Magical Arts, Inc.. 401(k) Plan, it’s important to confirm how much of the account consists of vested employer contributions—and how much is still subject to forfeiture if the employee terminates employment early.
