1. Dividing Employee and Employer Contributions
Most 401(k) plans, including the Rb Buyer I 401(k) Plan, consist of two main components:
- Employee Contributions: Typically fully vested and easily divided.
- Employer Contributions: These may be subject to a vesting schedule. Only the vested portion can be awarded to a former spouse.
