Employee vs. Employer Contributions
In most 401(k) plans, the employee puts in a percentage from each paycheck. The employer, such as G. d. roberts & company, Inc.. 401(k) ps plan, may match a portion. In divorce, this becomes a key issue—only marital contributions and their related earnings are typically divisible. If any employer match has a vesting schedule, only the vested portion is available for division through a QDRO.
