Employee and Employer Contributions
Most 401(k) QDROs divide only what’s known as the “marital portion” of the account. That usually means the value of all employee and employer contributions (plus investment gains or losses) made during the time you were married. With the Lanakila Pacific 401(k) Retirement Plan, you may need to review contributions carefully—especially if the employee spouse started working before the marriage or continued after separation or divorce was filed.
