Employee and Employer Contributions
401(k) accounts often include both employee and employer contributions. When dividing the Military Officers Association of America Retirement Income Plan, you’ll need to determine if the QDRO will split:
- Just the employee contributions made during the marriage
- Both employee and employer contributions
- The full account value as of a specific date (e.g., date of separation or divorce)
